A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Yahoo, alleging the media giant partnered with spyware companies and was involved with click fraud.

The suit, filed by spyware activist Ben Edelman, follows the purported click-fraud connection with Yahoo that Edelman first reported in August 2005, and then revisited last month. Some additional information on the case outlines the ease at which Yahoo’s pay-per-click advertising network could be abused, according to the case filing. Yahoo has not released a press release about the lawsuit.
