Kaspersky Lab has launched new and enhanced versions of its antivirus and Internet security software. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 protects PCs against all malicious programs, combining traditional signature-based methods (detection of viruses based on their descriptions) with proactive protection. The proactive element detects threats by analyzing the behavior of malicious programs, minimizing false positives.
The product is particularly effective against spyware programs, as it provides the option of rolling back any changes to the file system and the registry made by a malicious process. When a malicious object is deleted, all references to it are also deleted from the operating system.
Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 provides integrated protection for PCs against all types of online threats, including viruses and all other malicious programs, such as spyware and Trojans; network fraud and spam. New to Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 is a personal firewall, which controls data exchanged between the user’s computer and the Internet.
